Are you in for an a-typical talk? Sure you want to get a new experience? Take a gemba walk with us and join us in a unique journey through time. Be amazed and discover how deliberate deviation, unfolding events and learning from it changed Prato’s DNA.
How it came so far?
Lately the Belgian Lean Coffee community had the chance visiting Prato, a Belgian HR services company. Based in Hasselt, Prato is a midsize service/product company in a highly competitive context. Notwithstanding the context, this company is on a continuous growth path.
In order to facilitate this growth, Tim Pijpops joined Prato 3 years ago to introduce Lean principles and Agile values in the organization to make the intangible tangible.
We will take you on a guided tour through this 3 years journey. Together with you, we will travel through time to get an understanding of the change track of this organization and share with you with lots of first hand experience. The experience will be re-created and Koen De keersmaecker will show you how strong visual storytelling can make complex business matters visual, understandable and communicable.
Step by step you will discover how change was introduced within this company. Wim Bollen will introduce you into the elements of improvement kanban (coined by Patrick Steyaert) as a reference framework and retrospectively, we will identify how the time phased introduction of constraints catalysed the change.
It will be a unique story about how the conjunction of expertise, observation and orientation, modelling and experimentation can lead to a successful value creation within companies in fast moving environments.
